Business Update March 2020 (Coronavirus)

I do hope that you’re all keeping well, especially in these testing times. I’m working as usual to keep all my clients’ social media channels up to date and offering as much support as I can!

Now may be a good time to have a think about updating your website, writing some helpful articles/blogs and reaffirming positive messages so that your clients (and potential clients) are reminded of your professional expertise. This will help to maintain your brand identity, your business reputation and your online presence once the current situation has come to an end.

If you need any further advice, please feel free to drop me a line.

Stay well!

Supporting Anxiety UK

AUK picWe’re proud supporters of Anxiety UK and like to ‘do our bit’ by helping out their Communications team however and whenever we can! For the last few years, we’ve been providing a proofreading service to assist with the publication of their quarterly magazine, Anxious Times.  We’re pleased to add that we’re now also offering support with their social media profiles on Twitter and Facebook!

Although a charity relying on generous donations, Anxiety UK provides an unrivalled support service to those suffering from anxiety and related disorders such as panic attacks, obsessive compulsive disorder and a range of phobias. Their website and telephone service provide a lifeline for those who are deeply affected by debilitating feelings such as intense fear and distress:

“Anxiety UK receives more than 15,000 calls to the helpline and requests for support via email each year and more than 30,000 new visitors to their website a month. Since 1970, the charity has provided essential support to more than 1 million people throughout the UK.”

AUK volunteers are mostly healthcare professionals or those with direct experience of an anxiety disorder, which enables them to offer a uniquely personal advice service for anyone who is experiencing anxious thoughts and feelings or if they’ve just been diagnosed with Generalised Anxiety Disorder by their GP.

The AUK team works tirelessly to provide a wellbeing support service for thousands of people across the UK and we wanted to show our support too. Lots of people choose to run a marathon or jump from a plane to raise money for their charity but to be honest, we’re just not that brave! (and hats off to those who are!) Instead, we’ve chosen to offer whatever skills we can to an organisation which has the best interests of its members at its heart; strives continuously to raise awareness of anxiety and reminds us that we can all do a little something extra to support each other through difficult periods.

Introducing…..Andy Brooks, APFS Cert CII (MP) Chartered Financial Planner

andy brooksAndy is a Chartered Financial Planner working from his main office in Peterborough Town Centre. An experienced adviser, Andy has spent the last 24 years offering face to face financial advice to individuals, business professionals and companies. As well as the standard qualifications Andy has spent the last 10 years studying until he qualified to achieve level 6 chartered status. He is keen to offer advice which is bespoke and entrepreneurial. Andy prides himself on thinking outside the box and looking at less obvious opportunities to gain client satisfaction. Advice is available through hourly fees, fixed fees or recovery through commissions paid by providers or a combination if required.

Andy has created a trusted site for clients to research their Financial, Legal and Tax needs before taking advice. Many clients shop around talking to many advisers and are left confused; it would help many to be able to read documents set out in simple English to get a basic understanding before asking for advice. Starting with Financial advice and some tax and law subjects, more topics will be added. Regular blogs will be uploaded from experts in their field and clients can request them on a wish list. For now there are already some useful guides available, so please feel free to down load what you need and we will keep adding to the site as new material becomes available or is requested.

We’re delighted to be assisting him in promoting his helpful website and generating awareness of his unique expertise via social media (Twitter, LinkedIn, Google+)
